Nostalgia

Follow a mother's search for the sounds that resonate the past and recreate the music that reminded her of what once was.
Nostalgia places the player in the eyes of a lone mother wandering in a post-apocalyptic world. She gathers sound signals coming from various sources and arrange them to recreate the music she unconsciously hears. With the recreation of music comes the reconstruction of her memories with her daughter. Little did she know what these signals really mean.

Project Background
This game was the first ever experimental project that we made in Unreal Engine during college. All of us were new to the engine and we didn't have formal training for it. So we were coming in completely blind and we had to come up with a game project from conception to a vertical slice.
One major strength that the team showcases here is its adaptability with new tech. We were so used to doing 2D games made in Unity, that the sudden change of technical requirements posed quite a challenge on us. Nevertheless, the team surpassed it through this simple game.
